I'm happy you liked the post.Améliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05979366182990756619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31689883.post-12578514694271175652016-03-20T14:44:15.510-05:002016-03-20T14:44:15.510-05:00Thank you for posting this LE interview. It does... Thank you for posting this LE interview. It doesn't seem to be anywhere else online.

Through that posting, I found your delightful blog and can hardly wait to whip up a batch of those yummy oatcakes!

But back to this post. It was really helpful for me to understand what all the brouhaha was about. It's sad to see when anyone is controlled by the loudest angriest voices. As MLK said: Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

You have inspired me to send this note to Lands' End: I was doing some research for my book club about Gloria Steinem and found a classy photo of her in a Lands' End ad, thinking “Gloria is so beautiful. I would definitely buy that outfit.” Then I realized the article was about how anti-choice advocates dominated you. You caved to an angry-but-vocal segment of wing-nuts that do not represent the majority. Kudos to whomever had the original idea to feature Ms. Steinem. For the future, I wish you courage, freedom of expression, and joy – some of the same qualities that Ms. Steinem represents. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
